An opt-in form can be completed at this link between 2 August 2021 and 1 October 2021.
This is an opportunity for your kura, school or tertiary setting to pilot the new Te Reo Matatini me te Pāngarau | Literacy and Numeracy standards before they become mandatory in 2023.
By taking part in the pilot, you have the opportunity to use the standards, assessment, resources and guidance that are being refined through the 2021 pilot. This is your chance to give feedback and help refine these materials further.
For each standard, there will be two opportunities for learners to take the Common Assessment Activities – one in Term 2 and another in Term 3 of the 2022 school year.
For Te Reo Matatini me te Pāngarau, we will again be piloting portfolios as an assessment method.
Support will be provided during the pilot. Information about what this support will look like will be available from the NCEA Education website later this year.
