Information for Te Ao Haka Pilots 2022

The Ministry of Education has now confirmed the schools and kura that will be involved in piloting the new Te Ao Haka Level 1 - 3 in 2022. By piloting and providing feedback on the new subjects, these schools and kura will play a critical role in strengthening NCEA and contribute to achieving the seven changes of NCEA.

To support them in this important mahi, resources will be progressively made available to support pilot teachers use the new learning matrices, achievement standards, assessment activities and other supporting material to plan programmes of learning. These resources will made available here to support the understanding of all schools and kura.

While these resources are available to all, only schools and kura who have been accepted into the pilot will be able to use the new achievement standards to credential student learning. If you are not an approved kura or school to pilot that subject's material, your students will not receive the credits for the work they do.

We will publish more information here as the planning unfolds. Please keep an eye out on this.
