A new tool to help you understand where to target your NCEA implementation approach is now available.

The NCEA Implementation Progress Self-Review Tool was provided direct to individual schools last week. We’re encouraging you to consider wide use with your teaching staff, so responses reflect experience of senior leaders, curriculum leaders/heads of departments and teachers.

Responding to self-review questions generates a personalised dashboard unique to each school. This information can be used to track your progress, find useful information, guidance, and relevant resources.

This dashboard is designed to support schools identify where they need to provide additional support, either internally or through NCEA Implementation Facilitators and other roles.

Questions focus on:

• School-wide planning
• Teaching, learning, and assessment
• Mātauranga Māori
• Literacy and numeracy
• Inclusive practice
• Access to resources and support.

For more information on access to the tool, schools should contact their NCEA Lead at their regional Te Mahau office.
