Internal Assessment Activities (IAAs) for implementation in 2024 are now available from subject pages across New Zealand Curriculum subjects and Te Marautanga o Aotearoa wahanga ako. Each IAA | Ngohe Aromatawai Ā-Roto and Assessment Schedule connects to the Achievement Standard | Paerewa Paetae they relate to.

As they may now be updated more frequently than the Achievement Standards | Paerewa Paetae, these supporting materials will also contain their own document version control number to help teachers notice when there have been updates.

Internal Assessment Activities | Ngohe Aromatawai Ā-Roto

The IAAs published on NCEA.Education will always match the latest version of the related Achievement Standard | Paerewa Paetae.

Updates will be clearly signposted. Each IAA will have a new “Assessment Activity Version” field visible underneath the title and description to indicate the IAA has been updated.

Assessment Schedules are available to download from the Teacher Resources tab within each Internal Assessment Activity | Ngohe Aromatawai Ā-Roto. Each Schedule will still have a reference to the Internal Assessment Activity| Ngohe Aromatawai Ā-Roto, and the related Achievement Standard | Paerewa Paetae.

Each will now have its own “Assessment Activity Version” number visible in the header of the document.

From the beginning of December, any IAA or Assessment Schedule which does not have a version number clearly visible in the header of the document can be assumed to be out-of-date.
