After careful consideration, the Ministry of Education has decided to discontinue the Prime Minister’s Vocational Excellence Award (PMVEA) effective this year and re-allocate the funding to support the Government’s education priorities. 

The PMVEA website ( https://pmvea.education.govt.nz/) will consequently be decommissioned on 7 June 2024. 

We would like to encourage secondary schools and wharekura to continue to celebrate students who excel in vocational education. There is information on alternative ways of celebrating vocational excellence on our website.
